Project Description:

tnla and associates were engaged to establish dynamic play and outdoor learning spaces to this once greenfield site in Armstrong Creek.

Located in a high growth area, the design establishes a network of diverse play and learning spaces, facilitating discovery and play with natural materials, textural planting and varied seating. Timber logs and locally sourced mudstone throughout the garden beds encourage exploration, creating unprescribed play opportunities. The planting palette prioritises indigenous species to the area, creating an important link to Armstrong Creek, transforming the once greenfield site into a biodiverse wildlife corridor and facilitating awareness of the schools surrounding landscape.
