Project Description:

The redevelopment of the Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) provided a essential upgrade to the club's facilities, greatly benefiting the local Ocean Grove community..

The building sits on the existing surf clubs' footprint, inserting itself into the surrounding dunescape and ensuring the function of the facility is front and centre. The role of the landscape is to successfully balance public access whilst ensuring existing vegetation is protected.  The east and south of the SLSC service the functional aspects of the SLSC, with clear and dedicated access to beachfront, whilst pedestrian pathways from the carpark connect the general public down to the seawall, navigating level changes and existing protected vegetation through a blend of open, altered and dunal landscape.
