Pennyroyal

This project required a subtle form of engagement with the magnificent wet sclerophyll landscape of the Otway Ranges. The existing ingredients for this site are perfect : the pure form of the black building, the panorama of the misty Otway’s landscape and some wizened old trees.

With fire risk in mind a large lawn area surrounding the house has been maintained. The brief required a living area with minimal disturbance to the view and the architecture, providing a fire pit, dining area, bbq zone and spa bath.
