tnla
PROFILE
The breadth of our project work is across the spectrum, from a private courtyard to Public Private Partnerships on a nationwide scale.
Each site and client is unique. We employ a reflective process to ensure a continuous review of our design methods throughout the life of each project.
tnla is forever striving to provide the projects on time and to budget whilst maintaining excellence in design, construction and consultation. The combination of contemporary design strategies, ecologically sustainable solutions and good management ensures that the tnla is able to provide a project delivery matrix that is both logical and transparent, personalised and professional.
Over thirty years of landscape design Tim Nicholas has provided high quality design outcomes with a common thread throughout. This thread is an acknowledgement of the need for sustainable processes right through the project. Geomorphology, fauna, flora, climate, hydrology and econonmics are central concerns for every project and site.
We are about the client, the brief, the budget, the geomorphology and the temporal.
Landscape architecture is all about the people, the plants and the animals that inhabit the site. Accordingly, the workings of the original site are observed closely. The temporal aspects of the site - the diurnal, the seasonal qualities of light, shade, shelter, existing flora, fauna and desire lines are pivotal. The spaces are made for living in, to be physically comfortable, energy efficient, joyful, places of discovery, growth, contemplation and communion.
tnla has a proven track record in projects of all scales. Every opportunity, every site is different and so each project is unique.
tnla has been acting and working sustainably for over two decades both as a business and as individuals committed to a better environment. Sustainability has always been at the core of our design
