Barwon Heads
Providing a holistic coastal living experience for a young family, this garden reinforces the themes of the architecture - those of light, space and repetition of the materials. The design caters specifically for family life with active young children and incorporates areas for climbing, gardening, water play, exploring, day dreaming, and whatever other activities they dream up. For the adults there is entertainment spaces, privacy, refuge, seasonal change, fruiting species and the joy of ‘being where you are.’
The circular forms of the building along with the use of gabion walls are repetitive themes used throughout the site serving to tie the building into the landscape.
